Mary Caromata (Grimberg) PT, DPT,OCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy and Owner of ResilientRx
Mary Caromata who is originally from Northern Virginia, received her Bachelors in Science in Health Science at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. She then received her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
After graduation, Mary moved to Austin, Texas to begin practicing physical therapy. In 2014, she graduated from Evidence In Motion’s (EIM) Orthopedic Residency Program and became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). Since then, she has been a mentor for orthopedic residency programs, new graduate physical therapists and physical therapy students. In addition, she has received her pelvic floor rehabilitation
training through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
Her main passion is helping her patients reach outcomes that they didn’t believe were possible. These outcomes include: avoiding surgery, managing chronic pain, returning to working out or physical activity.
Mary Caromata uses a holistic approach in her practice. She addresses the injury itself and why it happened to prevent reoccurrence.
She also understands that pain can be more than just in the muscle or joints, it can also influenced by stress, poor diet and lack of exercise. This holistic approach can assist in addressing the underlying conditions that may be exacerbating the pain, injury or dysfunction.
She enjoys completing different workouts such as yoga, spin class, pilates, and interval training. In addition, she enjoys hiking, meeting new people and learning their stories.
Nick DiSarro PT, DPT, OCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Nick DiSarro received his Bachelor of Health Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Florida in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He began his career in the Bradenton and Sarasota, Florida areas, working in outpatient orthopedics, as well as hospital-based acute care,
inpatient rehab, and trauma settings.
In 2013, Dr. Nick continued his career in Wilmington, North Carolina where he received advanced training in Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Graston Technique®, and Trigger Point Dry Needling. He has also taken special interest in teaching and mentorship throughout his career, having mentored physical therapy students from various programs as a clinical instructor. In March 2015, he was awarded the Outstanding Clinical Instructor
Award from the University of South Carolina.
Dr. Nick moved to Austin, Texas in the Summer of 2017 where he continued outpatient orthopedic practice and completed Evidence In Motion’s (EIM) Manual Therapy Certification Program. In addition he is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). Aside from continuously pursuing educational opportunities to advance his skillset, Dr. Nick’s priority is providing evidenced-based care and connecting with clients through empathy and education. His main goal is to empower his clients and guide them along their rehabilitation and fitness journeys.
Having lived and worked in Florida and North Carolina, he and his wife Amanda are always looking for new adventures in Austin and beyond. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys live music, playing guitar, stand up paddleboarding, rock climbing, golf, working out, and spending time with his wife and two dogs
